I came across this oddity a few times. This game has one of the slickest looking websites and a staggering amount of unofficial ports. I came across a strange finnish C64 website which compared each of these versions and in conclusion determined the MegaDrive version was the best. So, that's the one I played.
I highly would recommend playing the Megadrive version on an emulator if for no other reason that the ability to use save states or rewind... this is a very difficult game. It's the perfect size but the jumps and sequences require some decent memorization and skill. The nice thing is that nothing in this game is random and all movement is mere timing and pattern matching.
The game has a nice aesthetic. An added bonus to the megadrive version is TWO soundtracks... You get the C64 version and standard (I guess Megadrive version) While the music isnt my favorite it really is a very good score that is quite moody and conveys a sense of ambiance.

The main attraction to the Megadrive version is the different modes. You can pick a 'system' to play this game on. The standard one is ZX spectrum. I played the game on both the ZX Spectrum and Megadrive modes. Each mode not only features a unique color palette, but also very SLIGHT variations on the puzzles in the rooms as well as player 'lives' you start with and are available (hence difficulty... sort of). Usually its just enemy positions. But the game has supposedly a lot of secrets, few of which I was able to find.
The first playthrough of this was extremely frustrating, even on my second one with emulator save states enabled it was a bit of a chore to find all 12 keys to finish the game. Part of the reason for this is the Wheel of Faith room.
It's a tough game to recommend. But, I actually would recommend it if you are fresh to retrogaming and would like to have a sampler of what these old games looked like and be presented with a game that has very nice aesthetics. But its a very mediocre puzzle platformer and it's also authentic in the sense that it's tied to certain elements from an era that doesn't age well: Jumping puzzles, pattern matching type memorization and gated progress, and that of the do-over. Especially if you play this legit, you'll be doing it over a lot. lol.
The neat thing about this game is ironically, subsequent playthroughs. I found I enjoyed my second playthrough of this more than my first due to the slight variations in look and feel. It's also an incredible porn made by MoonWatcher for genesis.
Look this guy up he has done a lot of really cool stuff!
A platformer game made in the good, old DOS fashion, which adds to the nostalgic value from the 80's PC era. There is a historical background to the light plot where you - a Cathar - try to get away from the crusade pursuing you. The church you found as a hideout is not what it seems to be and you have to gather 12 crosses to complete the game. The enemies are varied and forces you to adapt in each part of the stage. My only complaint is that I couldn't obtain some secrets or items without checking Youtube to be clear about the instructions.
Albeit quite short, it's a neat take on the historical period with grim fantasy and religious elements implemented on this. Even the lo-fi soundtrack is written in a way that's fit for death metal music. \m/
no idea how people say this is a 30 minute game this is a very hard precision platformer
