Surreal, Cute Text Adventure Stands Out Amid So Many Text Adventures!

Preliminary: I'm nervous cuz I read there are random unavoidable deaths. Ew. A review also claimed a bad primitive parser, but I find it effective so far... I like how straightforward the beginning is, I love how it has a Black background before you turn on your light, and I love the concept--so unique. And as always, I like when your "treasures"/score is tracked (photos, in this case, ha).

Look: 8/10 I love the picture/photographs! (the only graphics in the game as far as I can tell). The MS Paint vibes are real ha enter image description here

I love the music photo too ha

Play: 8/10 Never a big fan of escort/follow-me gameplays, but luckily this one didn't end up too frustrating. (I was just talking about my disdain of those parts earlier tonight while having Pooh follow me in Kingdom Hearts haha.). Otherwise, just a great straightforward fun text adventure without pettiness that I saw.

Feel: 9/10 I love how fast-paced the game is, maybe that's what they meant by primitive parser, but it's all very to the point. And the text loads real fast, which I appreciate. Speaking of fast-paced, some of the intentional waiting parts between text is unnecessary imo, tho I'm sure that added something back in the day. The humor and well-done execution boosts this up.

Attachment: 9/10 Well I started this super late cuz Michael had to stay late at work and I'm particularly sleepy today (long day, plus eye cyst coming back). Point being, it had all chances stacked against it. Not to mention basically a full blown text adventure! (only graphics seem to be the photos, cute idea imo). Plus the reviews were bad... But it somehow works. I tend to like surreal after all, and this is no exception.. The wait times between text continued to be irritating, but overall the most solid text adventure I've come across in a while!

After recently going on a trip and planning our next one (even tho we aren't even sure we are vacation people... starting to realize more and more we aren't), what a perfect theme for a game right now lol. Cute idea of a game. And what a success it was, no deaths or anything haha even my wife is smilingenter image description here

And finally, the vacation is over! enter image description here

The right length for a text adventure, silly and surreal, and beatable -- count me in! Good stuff, pleasantly surprised. Really this should probly be an 8 for Attachment, because I don't often return to text adventures, but this one stands out so much, is so unique, and would be worth a replay if I ever choose to replay text adventures heh.
