WerqKween's review of Midnight
This review is for the PlayStation 4 version

I bought this a couple years ago and just recently finished it, although mine was called Midnight Deluxe. (Just looked it up and apparently there were two games and the deluxe is both of them together?)

The objective is to guide a little cube guy to the goal through 70 stages by shooting him around like a golf ball. Nothing special, it was cheap and an okay way to pass some time by playing a few quick levels at a time.

The physics of the game are a bit frustrating, everything feels inaccurate and it’s almost impossible to recreate a shot. So you wind up feeling your way through by messing up a ton until you get lucky.

The music is nice enough, it starts with one of the Satie Gynnopedies, but I’m not sure if the rest is original or not. One frustration is there are maybe four or so different tracks, and each time you mess up, the music stops and restarts another track. It really breaks the mood.

All in all, not a terrible little time killer, but nothing amazing by any means. There are probably old flash games that do just as well.
