I started playing it innocently after getting it on sale, thinking it would be a cute plateformer, but.... The concept of the rabbit being able to jump only when he gets carrots out of the earth is especially frustrating, and doesn't make for a great game.
The difficulty is created with the timer being very short -you need to make every move count-, and the fact that once you start geting a carrot out, you CANNOT stop and you are doomed if you misplaced your little rabbit by one or two step too far away from the edge to jump. The 100% completion, where you CAN actually jump, is also not fun, again because of the timer. Yes, I 100% the game even though I didn't like it, listen, it's EXTREMELY short.
This game doesn't make the crank shine, as it quickly makes your hand hurt because of the way you have to hold the playdate and the crank. And since you have to move fast it, the screen is moving around with your moves, making the game and obstacles difficult to see. It's way better to select the "crankless" version instead of the original one, and that's a shame …

And since you have to move fast it, the screen is moving around with your moves, making the game and obstacles difficult to see. It's way better to select the "crankless" version instead of the original one, and that's a shame since it seems this game wanted to play around with what the crank had to offer.
It feels like the timer wasn't supposed to be here at first, and was only added to create a challenge out of this game that doesn't really have one, outside of being frustrating. It seems it's the first game of the creator and it really feels like it : the concept doesn't make for an enjoyable experience, the difficulty comes from frustration and not from "carefully crafted stages". The stages are crafted more in a way to put obstacles in the way of the player and not enough to make the player actually enjoy a gameplay.
The game price of 5$ is WAY too high for such a short (around 30 minutes) and incomplete game !! I got it on sale at 2$, and I still think it's too expensive.
If you look at the game page on itch.io, you can see some people that liked the game, so here that's just my comment in a sea of other comments. The developper probably learned a lot through this game, and I hope they continue creating even though I didn't appreciate this game, LETS GO game creators !!
