Cacoma Knight is a hybrid of action and puzzle elements. Each level is a single screen. The first image that the player sees is a landscape, for example, a forest or a town. The image will then fade into a "corrupt" version of the landscape, for example, the trees become rotten and buildings become ruined. Each screen has a "Qualify" target that shows how much of the screen must be cleared before the game continues to the next level.

Made it to world 3 before I started running into trouble. From then on I kept taking damage from unknown sources to the point where beating a level was a tedious process of save state scumming trial and error. I don't know if the hitboxes were that messed up or if it had to do with my emulator. Then I figured out that health did not restore between stages and was not visible anywhere. I got as far as world 6 when the backgrounds started repeating, then I quit. The concept of sectioning off areas while avoiding enemies was interesting. The actual game though was pretty much unplayable, assuming it was not just an emulator issue. Still it needed more mechanics for depth.

4.0/10, and that is me being generous
