This game had some good ideas but the implementation didn't reach the potential of those ideas. It was cool being able to create your own robot with different arms and legs that had different abilities. But some parts were definitely better than others. The game plays ok and I remember beating it but the level design and graphics are quite boring. From what I remember you really only fight other robots and have to awkwardly get around environmental hazards. Jumping across bottomless pits could be annoyingly difficult unless you equipped the super jump legs. You also had moves that could only be pulled off by doing street fighter type inputs. In a game where you could move up and down, that was a bit cumbersome, not impossible but still annoying. However, ripping off an arm and then ripping off the torso of a robot to kill it and suck out its energy to replenish your own never got old. That was pretty much the strategy against every robot.

A remake or a spiritual successor could potentially be a really great game.
