In this game, you maneuver a caped man along roller-coaster tracks, grabbing money bags and trying to save your girlfriend, all the while avoiding cops and gorillas (which either swing on the ropes and throw deadly bananas and apples at you, or ride in roller-coaster cars, intent on hitting you.) The game has four screens in each level. Each screen is completed in one of two ways: getting to your girlfriend, or grabbing all the money bags on the screen, then getting the large money bag which appears.

A Great Example Of An Early Platformer
This review is for the Arcade version

Look: 7/10 Classic arcade platformer look. Nothing special. I did like the coaster graphics, though.

Sound: 7/10 Cute, classic arcade sound. Matches the amusement park/coaster theme. Oh, and I like the jingle that plays when you finish a screen and "save"? the girlfriend on the top coaster. Which is apparently the plot/concept?

Play: 7/10 The enemy-player collision masks are very forgiving. And I love how fast-paced everything is in this. Tight and responsive controls, though getting off the ladders can be a bit clunky. Silly that, like in most platformers, you can't just fall off edges like this to go to the platform below; instead you have to go down the ladder (not even a proper jump down suffices smh). Luckily I anticipated this mechanic, but I am excited for when falling mechanics are more reasonable in later platformers enter image description here

I wish there were a screen wrap mechanic, which would help with escaping. I cleared all the unique screens, and enjoyed it, but not quite enough to push through with the increased difficulty re-cycling of screens.

Feel: 7/10 I like the concept of the coasters, kinda silly with the girls on coasters being enemies lol, and the basic plot is silly …

Feel: 7/10 I like the concept of the coasters, kinda silly with the girls on coasters being enemies lol, and the basic plot is silly too. But results in a fun, cute arcade game. As silly and simple as this is, the tight controls, arcade capabilities look and sound, and level design all make this among my favorite early platformers so far. I've really struggled with clicking with the classic home computer early platformers, due to their limitations, so arcade platformers are dominating in my eyes.

Attachment: 7/10 Definitely an arcade platformer I might return to, but not the kind of game I get sucked into enough to play the re-cycled levels or rave about after. One I can certainly have as a pick-up-and-play at future get-togethers!

Completion: All unique screens. Score ~10,000 Playtime: ~20 mins
