The definitive Skylanders.
This review is for the Nintendo Switch version

This game was unfortunately the end of its series but Ik happy it ended with this game. It makes me feel like a young child again and just fills me with so much happiness.

My kids wanted to fire up Skylanders Imaginators the other day and reset their creation crystals to start new characters. Turns out, these ~$10 customizable toys cannot be reset in the game or any official way. I have vague memories of this when the game came out in 2016 but didn't fully appreciate this terrible decision (likely an Activision exec wanting a few more dollars) till now. There are several ways to use previous games on other platforms to reset the creation crystals in an unofficial way but none worked for me. Thankfully, Youtuber technotom put together a Windows app and video walkthrough that allows you to connect a Skylanders portal to your PC, place the creation crystals that need to be reset on top, run the app, and get fresh creation crystals. If you're looking for a small way to stick it to Activision, here it is.
