vukodlak's review of 7 Sins

A game suprisingly fun despite its horrible camera controls and not much better graphics. Things I loved:

  1. Not taking itself seriously
  2. Focusing on being just a fun game, letting you do all the stuff you have probably been ashamed of doing in real life and not punishing you for it (I don't consider crazy animation showing the protagonist running away when his irritation gauge is full a punishment)
  3. Diversity in the mini-games
  4. Adding a bit of a challenge as time passed on
  5. For real, gay options. Even though the game definitely focuses on the protagonist lusting for females, as a queer person myself I was having even more fun when I found out I can arrange some dude on dude action.

Things I definitely hated:

  1. Controls. They're the weakest point of the game, and I won't accept an excuse that the game is simply old. It's almost impossible to set the camera "in place" when talking with a character, it keeps rolling around and distracting the player. I also found some mini-games almost unbeatable, because the controls were overly sensitive.
  2. Well, graphics. It didn't really affect my playthrough, because they're simply funny, but that's still a con.

  3. The game is not very long and praise the lord, because it was starting to be too much of a repetition. All is cool, but not everything has to be about seducing, I think.
  4. Lengthy transitions between text messages on screen.
  5. Controls again because I couldn't measure out properly how to approach some dumb table.

To sum it up, I wish there were more of games like these, games that allow you to just DO THINGS instead of hiding behind a poor storyline, poor side quests and some weird sense of morality.

There are a few alright minigames and plenty of potential, but 7 Sins has clunky controls, unclear directions, and a stupid system of being too aroused/stressed/irritated that forces the player to drop what they're doing and go yell at people/piss on a plant.
