You're on the road with the rock band Journey! After each concert, your goal is to guide the five band members to the escape vehicle so they can get to the next concert on time. Trying to slow you down are numerous fans, reporters, promoters, and photographers. Running into each of these will cause you to lose some of the money you start with, and also precious time! Stage barriers and fences will also cause you to lose time, but you won't lose any money if you hit one of these. To help you out, roadies and your manager are also in the crowds. They will give you temporary invulnerability allowing you to run straight through any obstacles. The game ends when a band member doesn't make it to the escape vehicle before the timer runs out. As the game advances, there will be bigger and bigger crowds to avoid, and they will be more aggressive about getting in your way! Less

Goofy, Quite Fun Vertical Scrolling Race Game
This review is for the Atari 2600 version

Look: 6/10 Pretty goofy but not bad. enter image description here

Sound: 7/10 You know I always like when there's actual music in a game, especially with Atari sounds. That being said, it being a song I already know too well (and have heard far too many times... it's really only appropriate when crazed at a wedding or something lol), it got old real fast. But the seemingly original music that plays during gameplay itself was fresher, so it didn't get old as fast.

Play: 7/10 Plays basically like any other vertical-scrolling dodge-the-items game. But like with a lot of '82 vertical scrolling games, you can control the speed of the scrolling which makes it even more fun. Surprisingly fun, albeit insanely simple, and I was done playing it within 10 minutes. Some substantial clunkiness, goofy collision masks, and even sometimes accidentally able to go through the barriers--but for the most part, a well-made goofy fun game :-p

Feel: 7/10 Funny concept--you're basically dodging reporters and fans and random barriers, trying to run into your manager or roadies for temporary invulnerability, and most importantly--beat the timer! It's supposed to, literally, be the band Journey escaping to their van or whatever.. .while... I guess also …

It's supposed to, literally, be the band Journey escaping to their van or whatever.. .while... I guess also keeping your money? The manual of course helps so you can identify which are good to hit, and which are not good to hit ha (the invulnerability is key, after all). Oh, and the manager even gives you extra cash :-p

Attachment: 6/10 As much positive stuff I'm saying about the game, I really didn't get that into it, I didn't even push through getting all the members out of the first stage. But it was fun enough, and worth a try if you like Journey or vertical scrolling collect-and-dodge-the-items games.
