Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship Tournament 2006 is a video game based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. The game play involves the player collecting cards in-game and using them to battle the computer players. Players may also (upon completing the Free Duel mode) battle against Decks which they themselves have designed and saved. This game came with three promotional Yu-Gi-Oh! cards enclosed; they were "Helios - The Primordial Sun", "Helios Duo Megistus", and "Golden Homunculus". These cards were later available in English Blister Packs.

Morcys's review of Yu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Masters: World Championship Tournament 2006

It's the Yu-Gi-Oh! game for GBA with the most cards, but that doesn't necessarily make it the best card game for the console because it has several problems. One of the most noticeable is that the first duelists have incredibly annoying decks, decks that aren't particularly strong but are designed to waste your time.

One of the memorable times in my Yu-Gi-Oh history. ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ ★ Favorites ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

❶ My favorite female card is and will probably always be Dark Magician Girl. Always wanted to summon her in battle and carry me.

❷ It had no story, but just complete gameplay against CPUs and puzzles that made me really think about what cards to use.

❸ For what it was at the time, it was a BLAST for me to create my own deck and the game had layer and depth to it.
