Abalone is one of those board games in which both sides are completely equal and the trick is to outmanouver the opponent by thinking ahead. Abalone is a clever twist on the genre. You have to push enemy pieces off the side of the board instead of jumping over/surrounding them, and you can move up to 3 of your pieces …

Abalone is one of those board games in which both sides are completely equal and the trick is to outmanouver the opponent by thinking ahead. Abalone is a clever twist on the genre. You have to push enemy pieces off the side of the board instead of jumping over/surrounding them, and you can move up to 3 of your pieces in the same direction as long as they are in a straight line. I don't care for this kind of thing, but if you like checkers, dammen, go and such this may be for you.
