I used to live in the middle of nowhere and all I had were my games at home and the one arcade cab of Area 51 at the only pizza place within 50 miles. My little idiot self always wished for the opportunity to play light gun games any time I wished. Fast forward 15 years and my little goblin brain finally gets the serotonin hit that it desperately needed (college is wild). This game combines my classic love of light gun games with the ever so elegant addition of 90’s anime. What does that amount to? A solid light gun romp with really good music and visuals with anime cutscenes in the middle. Do I care for the “story” in this game? Nah, but the aesthetic is an interesting pair. The folks who made this game also made Project Horned Owl, which is the same concept but more mech anime based as opposed to fantasy. One fun note is that this game has no ammo counter or reloads, just three different weapons with different firing rates (these can be switched at any time). Fun little game, but niche for sure.
