The trailer reminded me of both A Short Hike (which I loved, like many others here) and Pilotwings 64 (which I spent a worrying number of hours flying around in when I was a kid), and with its charming ps1-era graphics Commune Corvidae could have had its place by their side as a wingspeople simulator.
Sadly, it's too clunky for me :( the flying being somewhat clunky? That's to be expected. But here, even the basic movements feel awkward. For example, in order to stop walking, the whole walking animation cycle has to finish and it takes about a second after the player stops their input. As for flying, beating your wings is extremely slow and doesn't feel dynamic. The only way you can soar is through diving, and even then you lose more height than you gain. Most of the time. Sometimes you do rise but I haven't been able to work out exactly what the parameters are. It's confusing! I want to feel free, dammit! The wind under my wings and all that. Maybe this problem could be fixed by adding air currents in the game.

This and the primitive UI make it feel like a prototype. I still like the concept, and there seems to be a pretty interesting background story that explores the aftermath of a totalitarian regime. If the developper ever decides to update the game (which seems unlikely, as it was published in 2018), I'll give it another go.
(then again, don't let my review stop you from giving it a try if the game intrigues you; there seems to be a bunch of people who enjoyed it over on itch.io)
