Beat on normal and the first level on hard. Never tried out the final weapon types for the front and side; I kept using the slow moving laser that had some homing, and the full 360 blast. Despite the slightly annoying sound effects, I found this game to be a lot of fun.

Played a lot of space shooters lately so far my ranking is:
1. Ikaruga
2. Blazing Star
3. Last Resort
4. R-Type III: The third Lightning
5. Strikers 1945 Plus (not really space i know)
6. Axelay
All 6 are great games, Ikaruga is outstanding, if you know nice games in this category let me know.
