These games were so, so good
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

A reddit "suggested" oddly suggested me a subreddit called newstarsoccer. "Tf is that?", our hero asked himself, "why does it ring a bell?". Then, the text based, simple sprite, career simulation of a football player with in-game choices came to mind. Also remembered hacking it and creating the oddest careers known to man (Editor's note: keys for the full game were associated with a specific player in mind, so to play it full, I had to wait until someone, often in the middle east, bought a key and decided to post it online for everyone else to use. All my players had middle eastern names, but as the names weren't linked with nationalities, I could create backstories of Muslim immigration in Chile even though I never saw an immigrant when growing up in my rural, south Américan town).

Apparently, the game wasn't just a one thing, java made, minesweeper UI someone made for fun but it actually became a series with tons of new games I didn't know existed and not only that, but spinoffs like football manager career, "hockey career" (tf is hockey, right?), and even a baseball and nfl career, all in google playstore now and …

Why would the creator call football soccer and nfl football is beyond me, but the games were that good that I decided to give them a chance and I'm not disappointed.
