In Kickman, you are a unicycle riding clown! Your job? Catch all the balloons on your head, without dropping any. Kickman was originally released as simply "Kick." Later versions of the game came with a "Kickman" marquee, presumably in an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of Pac-Man, who appeared in the game.

Silly Arcade Fun

Look: 8/10 What a beautiful title screen! I love early 80s arcade games. Definitely their era. enter image description here

Sound: 5/10 Mostly just annoying, but not really all that bad. What you would expect: arcade versions of circus songs, etc.

Play: 6/10 The gameplay itself diversifies as the game goes along. First you're just trying to pop or kick the falling balloons. Then, a Pac-Man element gets involved, sometimes they balloons are thrown from buildings, sometimes bombs drop too. It's all over the place heh. As always with arcade games, responsive and tight controls, tho the kick is a bit clunky/goofy. Overall, solid gameplay, and fun for a good while.

Feel: 7/10 The background is so beautiful, and the overall look is well-done. While I found the game fun, it got old pretty quickly. That being said, I felt pretty good at the game and that always feels nice. Actually being able to get through a few stages :-p It gave me a lot of later games' minigames vibes, if that makes sense. One that comes to mind is how a lot of Humongous Entertainment games would include a simple minigame like this within their larger point-and-click game. Anyway, well-done simple silly arcade fun.

Attachment: 6/10 Fun game, not one I will return to regularly, but worth a try. That background image will definitely be remembered, though!
