Quench is a story-driven puzzle game set in a colourful, lo-fi world. Become shepherd, an avatar of nature, and guide herds of animals on their difficult journey. Help Shaman, the young Elephant leader, convince the other animal tribes to join her. Protect the herds as they are beset by flood, fire, drought, and the dark smokebeasts that have spread across the land.

Ehhhh. This game is so painstakingly slow, it's just hard to play. The premise is that you're some kind of spiritual bird that uses weather powers to clear a path for a herd of elephants to get from arbitrary point A to arbitrary point B. There's a whole storyline but it's all very woo-woo/hippie/mother earth kind of stuff and it didn't do much for me.

I made it through the tutorial, which took about 20 minutes, most of which was waiting through impossibly slow-moving cutscenes or watching some low-poly elephants plod their way across my screen at a snail's pace. I realize the slowness is an intentional choice by the developer, but it just didn't work out the way they wanted it to. Maybe this gets complex or interesting at some point but I didn't have the patience to find out.
