I'm probably not the right guy to listen to when it comes to idle clickers like this because I don't usually play them. They aren't for me, I don't care about simply clicking things over and over to get money to do it all again (and again, and again, and again). I don't get any satisfaction from it. But I'm Canadian and I love The Trailer Park Boys, so I figured why not.

The game is broken up into seasons and is fairly heavy on story; or at least as heavy on story as TPB is. That ties into the core mechanics which consists of you building up your businesses and making money, while also getting the rewards to upgrade things. I will say that losing everything at the end of a season and having to build it back up makes sense from a narrative perspective because the guys are always going to jail in the show too, having to start from scratch.

My problem is, I don't find it that much fun. To compare it to another genre, I am not a huge fan of roguelikes in general but I can appreciate how they mostly offer something …

My problem is, I don't find it that much fun. To compare it to another genre, I am not a huge fan of roguelikes in general but I can appreciate how they mostly offer something different with each run. The same can't be said here as you restart, build up your gas station, then your adult entertainment, then Kittyland, etc. And then you wait and click for money, or automate it and get Cory to do it for you. Rinse, repeat; even as a casual experience I didn't gain much from it.

There are boss battles too which consist of you tapping the screen fast and getting cards, which tie into upgrading as well (along with hash coins and liquor). You keep bonuses from characters, and that's what carries over.

I quickly got bored. I searched up some reviews on Touch Arcade and Gamezebo and they really liked it, but fan service--regardless of how authentic it all feels because obviously the developers like the show--isn't enough for me, not when there are so many other games to play. I was hoping this could be a fun game I could play at work when I'm on break or on the toilet, but I won't be going back.
