Preliminary: This seems like a very well-made survival horror adventure game in most its parts, but I am a bit nervous about the very bad seeming combat. Just hoping it focuses more on the survival than the clunky combat.

Nice. And like I always say, I love when early horror or action-adventure games have you go into a lab for an ID Card. Soooo RE/classic.

I like that the Corridors are marked in the game, and the Lab (see above) actually looks like a lab. So many of the early C64 action-adventure games had ridiculously similar looking areas, never marked. Now, if only there were more Sound/music...
Day 1 Wow, the ship being named The Prometheus (heh), the First Aid Kits, the use of the ID, the opening of valves, I am loving the survival horror adventure elements. The combat is, well, terrible and clunky and unclear what's happening, but I've survived both my encounters with the aliens so far. It was hard to put down but alas it's time to get ready for dinner then stream. I am very excited to get back to this. This is the first horror game that actually feels like the later 90s era …

This is the first horror game that actually feels like the later 90s era of survival horror. Oh and the creature in the laboratory tube reminds me of RE too.
Oh gosh not a person-following-you part like in RE2 and so many other survival horror games lol. It's generally starting to show its datedness but hopefully it wraps up soon. And indeed, despite the awesome blown off head screen, the game started doing the usual C64 frustrations, like going through a door and spawning exactly where an enemy is, ergo unavoidable damage. And I get to an elevator and apparently I don't have the ID for it? I thought that's what I got the ID for. With that its slowness started becoming more and more apparent. Too bad too because the "cutscenes" and concepts are top-notch. Plus, my game started getting glitchy lol one of these blurs is me and the other is an enemy.
Look: 8/10 Really, this is just functional. But some really awesome screens, cutscenes, and overall feels like one of the final cries of the C64 era.
Sound: 7/10 Almost nonexistent so I almost didn't rate it. But I like that there is a tune for when an enemy is near/when you kill the enemy. And jingles often accompany the "cutscenes"
Play: 7/10 It's pretty darn clunky, but it has that fundamental survival horror vibe I love where with a map and the basic idea of needing items to unlock certain areas, I could really get into the game. Unfortunately, the rudimentary exploration controls and, most of all, the bland and clunky and unclear combat bog the Play down.
Feel: 7.5/10 Love the start of survival horror, and overall pretty tight for a C64 game, but just can't stand up to other 1989 devices' games.
Attachment: 7.5/10 Part of me really wants to return to it and push through, but the other part of me knows there is higher-quality gameplay in 89 games and it's time to move on. Too bad because the first bit I was fully hooked. Plus, I was at least halfway through the game.
Overall: 7.4/10
Completion: I put Mary in the Disposal room, was heading to the 4th floor but was denied access to the elevator
Playtime: ~ 35 mins
