I truly will never understand why they turned one of the worst episodes of Goosembumps into a video game adaption. I'm not much of a superhero fan anyways, but having played the first game, I had to try it out.

It stays somewhat true to the original story and Adam West even reprises his role of The Galloping Gazelle, which, I will admit is always a treat.

The story centers around the old cliché story of a superhero battling his foe in an attempt to save the world, go figure. In the first person format, you progress through various stages of the villain's lair all while defeating his allies and various critters with QTEs until you reach The Mutant himself.

With its straight forward gameplay, there isn't much need for exploration, and are guided heavily with little complexity (it is a children's game afterall).

The animations of this game are reminiscent of comic book stylizations, and looks pretty decent for a PC game of its time.

This isn't a great game, but it's far from terrible. If you watched the TV series, you may find something here to enjoy.
