Main game
Holy smokes, this demo was barely on my radar at all but it's fantastic. It's a King's Field-inspired first person exploration game, updated with modern analog movement, jumping, and a very fun, physics-y kick that you can use to knock objects and foes around the map. Even just in the opening area there's oodles of secret paths and hidden treasure to find, all across the rooftops, alleyways, and basements of an ailing Bloodborne town. If you give it a whirl, try kicking the ground and then hitting jump for some sneaky extra height!
Love the PS1-era look, love the weird plot where your once-human character has come back to life as a magical bug lady, and I love how willing it is to let you loose and just wander. I do find it hilarious though that insufferable 90s polygon wobble has somehow become a graphical flourish for nostalgic indies, I turned that nonsense off immediately.
