These games are for kids from 3 to 8, which is a pretty wide range, and it's hard to please everybody. The two previous games felt like they were aiming to the "older" part of that range, with the randomization of puzzle (that is not great for younger kids who want to play and replay many times the exact same thing) and long dialogues that explained complex tasks. Putt-Putt Joins the Circus feels like a u-turn: no randomization, simple dialogues and Putt-Putt talks a lot to himself reminding the player what he discovered and what he should know. This is not inherently good or bad, of course, but it's very good for my 4 years old daughter: she loved the game and had so much fun. Plus, as usual, graphics and soundtrack (this time with also a couple of fun songs) are lovely, the humour is funny, the vibe is adorable and in terms of gameplay it's a simple but well made point and click adventure, with lots of fun stuff to interact with, interesting puzzles and nice minigames. And, like always, my daughter's favorite part is the screen in which she can change Putt-Putt's color.
