Jurassic Park is a rail shooter arcade game developed and released by Sega in 1994. It is based on the 1993 film of the same name. The game cabinet resembles the rear of the Ford Explorer tour vehicles used in the film. The player, equipped with a joystick, must shoot dinosaurs that appear on-screen throughout the game. Clever girl, but not clever enough

This is another light gun shooter based off a movie. I highly recommend it too

The good

  • The graphics are impressive. The dinosaurs are well drawn and are animated fluidly, but the colors may look off (Some dinosaurs are puke green or a vibrant purple)
  • The enemy variety is good. You fight velociraptors, dilophosaurus, pterosaurs, triceratops, brontosaurus, and T. rex
  • The music is intense and never stops during the whole game. It is a continuous song that changes instruments but never stops
  • The scenarios are varied. Jungles, rivers, the volcano and you even go inside the laboratories

The bad

  • The only boss is the T. rex. You fight it all the time and it gets tiring. At one point you fight two of them at the same time but it doesn’t change anything

Jurassic Park is fun
