Felton Pinkerton wanted to take his wife to the fair, so he didn't get a chance to spray pesticide on his crop of corn. But due to his laziness, all of the bugs have now arrived and are trying to eat every last bit of corn! You control Felton who is armed with a spray gun. Your crop of corn is displayed on the left side of the screen, and you need to protect it from the incoming hoard of inchworms, moths, caterpillars, slugs, and other assorted bugs which approach rapidly from the right. If any of the bugs sneak past you, they will eat part of your corn crop. The game ends when all of the corn has been eaten. On each level you need to spray all of the bugs that appear in order to move on to the next round; as the rounds progress, the bugs become faster, more numerous, and home in quicker on the corn. Less

Fixed Shooter w/ Decent but Repeitive Fast Moving Action as fast as you can Push the Sprayer
This review is for the Intellivision version

Decided to play an Intellivsion exclusive recommended by Atari Age Forum Post and yeah i like this ok, its like space invaders kinda but its sideways... and rather than rolling back and forth and shooting at you, they are just doing a beeline for your Corn ("cities", in terms of space invaders)

enter image description hereMostly its just inch worms but if you keep shooting fast enough the other stuff actually doesn't even show up..

Each Stage gets faster and faster. You have secondary 'bombs' that are wider arc of fire and go through enemies to kill the next behind it, but otherwise arent that useful. Your corn regrows over time if you can protect it.

as the game gets faster you get limited to protecting a single stack of corn.

Ultimately, not bad game, it's a three star game that has repetitive music. (but at least HAS music) and really fast action. There is no real end to the game it seems (I managed to get to stage 16) This Horizontal Fixed Shooter was a first for me, so neat to see a new spin on an old, very-often-copied idea. So giving it an extra star for these thing., the fact it's …

So giving it an extra star for these thing., the fact it's an Intellivision exclusive, and that it beats most action oriented shooting games (by being so much faster) similar to it on the 2600 make it seem well deserved, however it does get a bit repetitive.
