NHL 07 is an ice hockey video game, released in 2006 as the successor to NHL 06. The game improved the series' gameplay with more realistic features, such as stickhandling and a wider variety of controller schemes. The Xbox 360 version features a completely revamped game and graphics engine from the predecessor, while the other versions are left behind with the old engine. It is the only game in the series to have a PSP version, the last installment to be released on Xbox, and the first installment to be released on Xbox 360.

The best games are the ones that shape your life a bit
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

There was a Summer around 2007 when I spent a whole week with my two older cousins staying at my grandma's just having fun non-stop. Playing football, going to an Aqua Park and playing video games. NHL '07 was the game we spent most of our time with, it was the perfect competitive game for 1v1 matches.

We had 1 controller, 1 joystick (for flying games) and a keyboard, so we switched those around to see who is the best with each of them. It was a ton of fun and made me buy a joystick later only for this game when I got my own copy. I played so much that the Joystick couldn't stay up in a straight up position after that (that sounded better in my mind probably...).

Even thought ice hockey is not the most popular sport in my country and I can't name more than 2 players (Wayne Gretzky and Alexander Ovechkin), I became a huge fan of the game and completed the campaign, the world tour and even enjoyed the management side of the game.

It motivated me to watch a few matches on TV and a few years later I played Floorball (basically …

It motivated me to watch a few matches on TV and a few years later I played Floorball (basically hockey without ice) for years in High School at a hobby level. I impacted my life in unexpected ways and for that, this game will always be close to my heart.

P.S.: The soundtrack is just amazing!!!
