Beat on slow mode. This was a horizontal shoot em up that kinda reminded me of Kirby. You could freely turn around and walk on the ground with the screen only auto scrolling while flying. The screen scroll was a little disorienting as it struggled to keep up with movement, and the vertical scroll from the full height not fitting on screen only made it worse. The goal was to kill all the big enemies while dealing with the more standard weak ones using your basic cannon and down arcing bombs. Then each stage had a bullet hell style boss with specific parts to shoot, though I wish more of them had destructible parts that changed the mechanics rather than just changing color. Enemies dropped money that could be spent in the shop by flying into the red shop circle. I bought the 2nd best engine and laser, not realizing until a few stages later that the shop screen scrolled to show more stuff. By then I had the best engine. Unfortunately the weapon upgrades had short time limits and the better bombs had ammo. The only permanent weapon upgrade was twin bomb. I did not like this temporary weapon mechanic and it was even worse because there was no way to switch weapons without going to the limited shops or the sel circle, which I only seen once. Why did start do nothing and seject just pause the game? One button should have accessed the equipment menu so you could swap on the fly. I usually bought the laser before killing the last enemy to give me a head start on the boss. I tried out the heavy bomb during the boss gauntlet, which went straight down from the top the screen passing through everything. But once I ran out it defaulted back to the basic bomb, not twin or the other types. So I never even got to try fire or smart bombs. You also lost all equipment on death when I think it would have been more fair to only lose what you had equipped. Overall the bosses were the best part while the stages were too simple. I would have preferred more traditional stages with the equipment select screen accessible at all times and with mechanics designed around switching to different weapons, engines etc for appropriate situations.
