Clearly some kind of bizarre viral marketing tactic, but this thing sounded so novel and peculiar that I figured I had to check it out.

It's a pretty short VN, taking a little over an hour to complete. There are some choices/branching paths available, it would seem, but it's pretty minimal. I must admit I was actually impressed with some aspects of this thing. The art in particular was really well done; both the character designs and the backgrounds. Sound and music was also excellent.

The story is that you're at this cooking school, attended by the young and handsome Colonel and a cast of other zany characters. The writing was about what you would expect. Mostly light and humorous with a lot of silliness and absurdity. You can't really expect something deep and insightful from something like this, and thankfully it didn't outstay its welcome. If it went for 2 or 3 hours I would have lost interest.

Your only romance option is the Colonel himself, and you get to kind of flirt with him. I wonder when the R18+ fan patch will be released? ;-) One could criticise this thing for being shameless advertising for a problematic restaurant that mistreats animals and their employees.. but on the other hand, I did find it interesting and clearly a lot of work went into it. And it's free. I dunno what to tell you. I'd rather see more things like this than have KFC putting junk mail under my door and billboards up around my town.

It's a short, free, quirkly little VN, it's fun and lighthearted, and it doesn't really try to advertise to you or shoehorn in products to sell you. Worth checking out just for the novelty of it I think.
