Halo 2600 is an action-adventure video game developed for the Atari 2600 video game console, inspired by the Halo series of video games. Halo 2600 was written by Ed Fries, former vice president of game publishing at Microsoft, who was involved in Microsoft's acquisition of Halo developers Bungie Studios. Ok so this happened. Some guys name Ed Fries and Mike Mika decided that the 2600 surely needed a Halo, and even put it on cartridges. I love fan projects like this that show creativity and passion while respecting the source material. After hearing the classic Halo theme in its lovely 2600 rendition - you need to find a gun. Then you simply collect keys and explore your surroundings, taking out classic enemies and even a few environmental hazards. Very difficult however and I died many many times, but it's a charming little home-brew.
