Mediocre variation on Breakout

This isn't a bad game, but it just fails to get a passing grade. It looks decent, but the effects distract too much and the borders are a bit vague. The music is nice, but could be much better (like in Really Big Sky). Upgrades add longevity, but take too long to acquire. And there are other lesser flaws like the crummy level select system and the little unskipable animation at the end of each match.

I could imagine hardcore Breakout fans liking this, but there's no achievements for them to get so what would be the point?
