Grief Syndrome is an action game based on popular anime "Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika." There are five girls to choose from, and each comes with different arsenal. This game combines anime-style with hand drawn with pastel colour for background. RPG elements are also included where characters can raise their level. Another interesting feature is combo system and rewards that can be unlocked if meet certain conditions.

NotRegret's review of Grief Syndrome

Not worth playing if you havn't seen Magical Girl Madoka, the anime it's based on, and partially spoils, but a must play if you have! have. Great sprite work that imitates the show and features lots of the more memorable locations. It's a single plane 2D brawler with all 5 of the magical girls, although slightly less than half the moves are ranged. The move-list is pretty impressive with some of the characters. Homura for instance has: a pistol, a machine gun, a mortor, two grenade tosses, a bazooka, and along with her [spoiler avoidance] most iconic ability. It's more about just stringing together 'cool' combos, each character has one or two moves that's clearly the best thing to spam if you play it seriously.

There's a secret level that can be accessed which you will might miss. I won't spoil it but it's all over the internet if you can't find it.

It also supports local co-op which is awesome!

The game is very short and it's not very hard. You'll probably beat it after no more than 3 tries, the difficulty setting just raise enemy health/damage which does little once you already know the boss patterns and the …
