The best game you've never heard of

I'm not sure how i found this game. Maybe it was recommended to me, maybe i just stumbled upon it. In any case, i played the demo and i loved it.

TTWR is a deck-building tower defense game. You go from location to location on a 2D map (like SMB3 or DQ) fighting enemies and collecting cards. Before you fight an enemy you can adjust your deck, which is necessary because fights are rarely the same. Sometimes you need a horde, sometimes a few powerful units, etc.

You always start with a few units and you use cards to summon more units, boost/heal units or weaken/damage enemy units. Your units automatically attack the enemy. It's real-time combat, but you never feel like you're not fast enough to do something. Also the combat is ridiculously good and fun, especially for an indie game.

There's a fun story with robots taking over with witty dialogue and even a cute elf-dwarf romance. It made me laugh a couple of times, which very few games have managed to do.

So if you've got $10/€8,50 and want to play a game that's fun, balanced and clever, i would recommend this. It's one of only 55 …
