What incredible music! I wonder why they chose to use function keys instead of n/e/w/s like usual for adventure games.

I really am fascinated by how good most C64 music was. What an interesting caveat of the many mediocre games (tho this one really is a good game, just not my vibe).

(oh! and with that I am now on to the 1987 games that actually have exact/approximate dates, rather than arbitrarily "1987!" The year starts in January with the second Zelda! Not my favorite Zelda, but the one my grandma had when very young so it along with the first Zelda and Link's Awakening are important to me (tho Link's Awakening are my favorite of those 3 early Zeldas in my life). Soon there will be Dragon Quest II, which I did not like very much, and Castlevania II which I LOVE tho it's so Nintendo Power-needing haha. Excited! 1987 is going wayyyyyy quicker than 1986, I think my standards/expectations are quite a bit higher so I don't waste as much time finishing mediocre, rushed action-adventures that are intentionally made longer out of tedium.
