To be clear, the gameplay is king here. The art and animation definitely are very solid as well, but overall the game is mostly your standard bread and butter Metroidvania fare (not that I’m complaining).
The story is… a lesbian love story with kinky undertones, kinda superimposed on top of a classic hero villain story. It’s not my thing, but it didn’t get in the way. There is a tedious thing with saving; each time your given this unskippable dialogue that’s often recycled, making the save room more of a chore than a celebration.
That aside, this is one of the best designed Metroidvanias I’ve played, and I’d super recommend!
