Cute, But Shallow

Game Summary

A cute little game where you dig up fossils to fill a museum. Visitors earn you money which allow you to dig for more fossils and buy upgrades.

Review Portion

The idea is cute, but the game play is very repetitive with almost no depth. Digging up fossils is a matter of pure luck, no puzzle or pattern to learn. Definitely more addictive than fun. Even a little bit of trivia for each dinosaur completed would spice things up. The art is very cute, but as much as I'm a sucker for that it doesn't make game fun. It also has the appearance of an idle clicker sort of game, but no money is generated if the app is not open. This is especially a problem as the game absolutely drained my battery almost as quickly as it was charging.

Also it should be noted, I paid 6 dollars for the starter pack which permanently removes ads. I imagine this game is a nightmare without ads, as you'll use them nearly every time you dig to give yourself a better chance of finding fossil pieces.

If you're looking for a cute, mindless game to play in short bursts while your phone is plugged in at work or home, then give it a shot. Even then, consider paying the 6 bucks upfront.

Haven't had much time to play, so I decided to try a mobile game I could play in bursts. Pretty cute and simple. I did buy the $6 dollar starter pack that removes ads, so I'm not sure how much of an impact that makes vs playing it for free.
