The Chex Warrior returns to his home planet and lands in Chex City only to discover that the Flemoid threat has reached his homeworld. Grabbing his zorcher, he races to the rescue of his beloved home. He battles through a spaceport (an Earthed space station), a cinema (A movie theater showing 3 looping movies.), a museum (A museum of art, history, and culture.), and the city (Chextropolis) until he reaches the sewers, where he faces The Maximus.

CHEX QUEST II: HELL ON CEREAL PLANET

I've been meaning to review this game for a while, but it's not that memorable, so I apologize for the wait. On to the review.

Chex Quest 2 stars the Chex Warrior after he 'zorched' the flemoid aliens from the first game, except this time the flemoids try to invade... 'bazoik', I think? Odd name for a planet, but the gameplay is largely the same as the first one, except with some new enemies.

I like how the concept of 'big guy with gun exits bad guy dimension, but the enemies invade his planet so now he has to kill them' from doom 2 is parodied here (no dead pet on a stick, I'm afraid). It's a fun game, there are elements of DooM in there but it feels like a different game. The level design is a lot simpler (obviously, it's a family game), but the sewer level is a little complicated, albeit not bad. The range of weapons here is great, doomguy would approve.

The enemy variety is alright. The levels are a bit boring and forgettable aside from the sewer and city. They just go by very quickly, too quickly for my tastes. The final boss (or should I say bosses is very disappointing. It's just two larger flemoids that you have to circle-strafe around and just keep shooting. I get it's a Hell Barons parody but they're just lackluster final bosses.

Keeping all that in mind, I think this game deserves a 7/10 certified 'good and a half' rating. t doesn't add much in terms of gameplay, but it's a decent game nonetheless.
