Arthur and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, absolutely no fun day!
Playing this almost 20 years after its release I only really wanted one thing: an 8-bit version of the Arthur theme song. It doesn't deliver.

What it does deliver is a series of 10 minigames scattered around a map of Elwood City. Completing these (which usually results from attaining 10 points) earns you a star. 16 stars will allow you entry to a theme park! The theme park contains 5 more minigames. Hooray!
Almost all of these games are dreadful. Playing air hockey with Buster atleast resembles a game. Cooking pancakes with Grandma is ok, purely because Grandma is a fucking asshole who will toss your pancakes in the bin if she isn't happy with them. You can also help Brain stack books because sure why not.
The music that is there isn't too bad. The visuals also capture the tv series perfectly. It is a pity there was no attempt to reproduce the combination of edutainment and empathy that made the original such a delight. Oh well, if you find yourself playing a 20-year-old licenced minigame collection then your standards probably aren't very high anyway.
