Just like the one Mystery Case Files game they made (Fate’s Carnival), this game has all of my favorite features of games in the HOPA genre: massive amount of backtracking, dark atmosphere, loads of inventory puzzles and regular puzzles… it’s got it all. I guess every game they made in 2013-2014 has these things down, as opposed to the overabundance of Hidden object games in their earlier works or the generic linear games in the back half of their catalog.
So yeah, as of writing I would recommend the first two Riddles of Fate games and the Mystery Case Files game as the best of the best by Elephant Games (an otherwise very mediocre developer).
