Beat on slow mode. This was frustrating at first because I kept crashing into hills and mountains, until I looked up the controls and seen how to change altitude. There were also barrel rolls by pressing select and left or right but I did not find that useful. This was an odd game that was pretty much a vertical shoot em up with bad looking terrain graphics that looked more a radar scan of the topography with a single color splashed over it. The only stages that looked decent were the water ones. The enemies were more of a suggestion and I had no trouble avoiding their shots by moving left and right. The biggest threat was crashing into the mountains as the fly able area changed location and narrowed into passes. The boss bases were very easy and all the same. 2 levels had triangle bases that held a prisoner to rescue, and these were much more difficult because the mountain walls were too close to fly past the 2 outer turrets. Flying in front of them to shoot was suicide because I literally could not get out of the way of their shot by going back the way I came. I got 1 with the spread shot bombs, and others by inching close to bait out the shot then sweeping in and out to fire a few shots. The other mission type was dropping supplies, which was annoying to time and wasted my missiles because they used the same button. The only good thing I can say was the plane graphic was very large and looked good. After each stage was a dog fighting arcade flight sim sequence. It was so simple and easy that it felt more like bonus stages because only some jets shot dumb missiles that were easy to avoid. Then you had to land at the base between every stage. It was incredibly simple, definitely not worth making a player do more than once, and probably not worth putting in a game at all. Could have been a cutscene. Then you could spend money from killing enemies on ammo. The basic shot was infinite and could be upgraded to fire faster. There were also realistically limited amounts of bombs and air to ground missiles for the shoot em up stages, and air to air for dogfighting. Buying weapons was an interesting concept but they didn't seem very useful, and there did not seem to be a way to switch weapons. I don't know how the game decided whether to shoot a bomb or missile. Select or pause then a button for swapping would have made more sense. It also would have been better to have more varied stages that actually required some tactical thought to make use of these weapons. The end was against a space station that played in the dogfighting mode, only now there were multiple fast shots coming at you instead of 1 slow moving missile. I could not even use any special weapons during this fight, where they were needed the most. Defense upgrades would have been useful too given how many times I died here. Overall a fairly bland shooter but far from the worst.
