Pepsiman is an action video game developed and published by KID for the PlayStation. It was released in Japan in March 1999, and is based on American carbonated soft drink Pepsi's superhero mascot with the same name, and focuses the player on avoiding obstacles by running, dashing, and jumping, while Pepsiman automatically runs forward through each of the game's stages.

This review is for the PlayStation version
I really got myself Pepsi™ before starting this up.
Maybe it's the caffeine from the Pepsi™ that I drank, but Pepsiman™ had me laughing out loud for the 45 minutes I had with this game. From the absurdity of such a mascot to the not so well translated cutscenes in between the 4 stages to the nonsensical narrative, I was enjoying myself. This is about as "America through Japanese lens" as "America through Japanese lens" can get and I had a lot of fun. There's some BS such as Stage 3-3 and 4-2 where there are moments that make you squeeze through tight spots and trial and error, but not enough to make me dislike the game.
