Scrolling Vertical Shooter very similar to Tiger-Heli or Twin Cobra (the music is reused). This is one of those where a lot of the targets are stationary and you just try to dish out as much damage as you can, collecting alternate weapons (everything but the red seems like a downgrade, nothing beats that wide arc of fire) bombs, and 1ups and pts. enter image description here
The game looks and sounds swell. (Its a major upgrade over shooting titles like it avaible to the NES) control is really good and I fouind myself suprised at the amount of time I was able to stay alive at times in this SHMUP, but it gets hard, they always do...

enter image description hereBosses in this almost always come at you in pairs, and once you definite half the pair, its usually pretty easy to dispatch the other half.

In summary its a solid vertical shooting game. Plays at a decent difficulty and performs well on the console it was developed for. There is some flickering in slow down that is notiicable, but its only in a few spots. The game also does reset you back when you die. Incoming bullets are different colored diamond shapes and could be a little easier to identify. But despite these flaws its still a lot of fun just shooting stuff up Midway/1942 style with a gunship that has such a wide arc of fire for its missiles. Worth checking out and has decently replay value to scratch the itch. Would play again.
