8.5 or 9/10 (I'm not sure)

I love the EDF series. The last two were awesome for different reasons. The series is now back in the hands of the original developer, and we get a lot of shorter missions (as opposed to longer ones in Insect Armageddon). The core gameplay is still there and it's still a lot of fun fighting massive hordes of ants, spiders, bees and robots.

But it's a little unbalanced. The Diver (jetpack user) is more balanced and beneficial than in Insect Armageddon, but the Fencer appears to be very underpowered and unbalanced... not to mention he needs another class to even use some of his weapons. Don't get me wrong, the idea of this almost entirely support class is interesting but I don't think it's necessarily good. The basic soldier is still fine.

I also dislike that in order to bring someone back it takes half your health.

Mostly it's just the lack of balance that makes me knock this down a bunch because this really should be a 9.5 or a 10 for me. It's still a wonderful game in a lot of ways, and the variety of the maps and the large amount of missions is appealing, but they really needed to work on the classes and whatnot.
