The Sims have moved to the City where there's always action and where reputation means everything. In the Urbz: Sims in the City, you can go to work at such locations as the Sushi Bar, Chop Shop, or Bootleg Fireworks, Inc. Success at work brings promotions, access to new power socials, and gear to influence your new lifestyle. Flaunt your attitude by styling your Urbz, and then cross the velvet ropes of an uptown night club, or explore the subway to earn new skills and items.

StJimmy501's review of The Urbz: Sims in the City

First off if your planning on playing this game, play it on DS. The ps2 version doesn't even feel like the same game and the points where it does, it still feels like a cheap knock-off, which is kinda strange because you'd think that it would be the other way round but i digress. I loved this game soo much growing up. I used to spend hours and hours doing jobs around town soo i could save up for some new furniture for my house and then unlocking new areas of town was always a big milestone that made you feel epic. There was just soo much fun to be had in this little virtual world and if i could find a copy of it anywhere i would buy it again in a heartbeat.

20 Years Later... Actually a Pretty Good Game
This review is for the PlayStation 2 version

I got this as a Christmas gift nearly 20 years ago and I really didn't think much of it at the time... And I'm here to say (after buying this again recently) it's probably the best of the series on the PS2 era franchise.

Though it's more story driven and limits you in certain ways in relation to building a home from the ground up, it's an over all satisfying experience in the end.

I really enjoyed the various themed levels based on different social circles and the ability to customize each location as you see fit. That and the new social options available really added new life to the series in comparison to its predecessors.

Looking back to the fashion statements of the early 2000's, it is kind of laughable but ultimately left me nostalgic for it. And the sims style Black Eyed Peas music and characters adds some much needed flare to the gameplay, who would've thought that the combination would work so well? Not me! I can't believe it took me so long to love this!

If you're a Sims fan, this is definitely worth a playthrough, hands down!

Replaying this after many years. Maybe 3rd or 4th time?
