This is a game, on paper, that was made for me. I love cars, I love survival games, I love a little mystery and a good implementation of random generation, I don't even mind when mass-asset use is adopted for a quick development process if its done well.
The issue is that there is too much levity here in this game's development. Not only is the content therein a little bit goofy, but the development process seems to be taking that goofiness on as well. With strange special events being made before core updates to the game's central formulas. Everything is a joke here, and while I am all for humor in my games, I can't help but wonder what Drive Beyond Horrizons could have been if the talent and seriousness found in the game's code could have been put into its narrative, its vibe, and its roadmap.
