I loved GunZ: The Duel. It’s a Multiplayer Third Person Shooter in which you compete for the highest score each match with a variety of classes.
The action is intense in this game. You encounter another player and, immediately, it is a fight to the death with dodging, wall jumping and some prayer. The game is really well balanced and getting some kills is accessible for all players.
You can choose various weapons like dual Uzi’s, shotguns and swords. This way, you can develop your own unique playstyle. My favorite is Butterflying, in which you use the shotgun and sword to create some kind of anti-gravity, making you jump and move through the air indefinitely.
The graphics in GunZ: The Duel are nice. They did not change much since the release of the game but back then, I thought they were stunning. The animations and framerate are smooth as butter and deserve only praise.
The controls are responsive, easy to learn and fluent. This is a big factor for me because bad or complicated controls can ruin the fun with a game really fast for me.

By far the best, and most unexpected, aspect of GunZ: The Duel is the music. The soundtrack rocks so hard, it’s like coming from another world. The violin, mixed with heavy guitars, is just something else. For me, this really hyped me up when playing.
Besides shooting each other up, the game also has a Quest mode, in which you fight monsters with up to four people. You complete various levels and, in the end, fight a boss. These levels are pretty hard, and the enemies are real bullet sponges. You get various rewards for completing these missions.
My only complaint is that this game is a “free to play” game, with microtransactions and “premium items”. It is not that you have to buy stuff in the store, but these kinds of games always make me feel like some poor peasant that does not get the full experience if that makes any sense.
Overall, GunZ: The Duel is a good game that I would recommend to everyone.
