Along with solos and duets, Just Dance 3 features quartets which allows 4 players to dance all together, as well as playlists that group songs together. Rewards can be unlocked by dancing, such as new songs, modes, as well as Dance Mashups which combine different dance routines from all three Just Dance games into one.

RoadTo360 42, Just Dance 3: Perfect Game For Summer Camp 2012
This review is for the Xbox 360 version

I am on a journey to beat 360 random Xbox 360 games. Here's my next adventure

Game number 42 was Just Dance 3. This is a dancing game that utilizes that Xbox 360 Kinect sensor.

This is the first game on the Road to 360 series that uses Kinect and I’ll let you know that I am pretty ambivalent towards it. I always thought that the Wii had the best motion tracking games… but I did own a Kinect in this era and loved it.

Just Dance 3 shows a model of a character doing a bunch of dance moves and you are supposed to imitate these moves in front of your Kinect sensor. Some of the dances have just 1 character, others are partner dances, and a few have 4 distinct characters doing different movesets. These are really fun and add replay value because you may want to play the song as each character.

Just Dance is at its best when you have 4 players and hopefully a small crowd of people to watch you. I guarantee that everyone in that room will be having a good time and laughing together at the goofy dance moves.

Just Dance 3 was my favorite Just Dance back in the day. I think this may have been because of the song list. I am a fan of the soundtrack here. It consists mainly of 2008-2010 pop hits, but also has some classic songs and songs of other genres. This is really subjective but I find this music perfect for a game like this. Most people (English speaking Americans, I cannot speak for anyone else) would have been very familiar with this song lineup and it is just the right music for dancing.

My biggest complaint here is that the Kinect sensor does not work 100% well. There are times where you know you did a move and the sensor doesn’t pick it up. That is really frustrating.

Overall, I think everyone needs to play Just Dance at some point in their lives. It's not the best game ever and it isn’t even the best Kinect game… but it’s bound to be a good time in a small get together. I personally like the song lineup in 3 more than 1 or 2 (those weren’t on the Kinect though). (7/10)

I spent 1 hour, 31 minutes, and 30 seconds playing Just Dance 3.

I have spent a total of 417 hours and 38 minutes on the Road to 360 challenge so far.

Next Game: Smurfs 2
