The Taste of Hate

Only playable with the debug mode, otherwise avoid like the plague. It’s just not fun and the music is horrendous.

I cannot believe anyone would unleash a game as bad as this onto an unsuspecting public. Terrible controls (just try climbing up a tree and then actually walking out on a branch *without* falling), repetitive music (yes, the Simpsons theme is great - but 600 times?), swarms of identical enemies and an unfair difficulty level make this one of the most terrible games I've played on the game boy. I could not abide it even with debug mode active (you start to long for your character's death with this one). As a kid, I got the chance to play this on someone else's game boy. I died at the first bee hive and thought it was my fault. Fortunately, though, I have now gone back and found that the game itself is to blame. The only redeeming feature about this game is the writing, which is true to the Simpson's spirit - but seriously, I'd much prefer to watch one of the classic episodes. I have not played it all the way through, but am thoroughly through with it - it will be sold at the first opportunity.
