Preliminary: This seems quite beloved, possibly cuz the cute concept and/or from fans of the anime. But based on the preliminary video watching, it sounds looks and seems to play very much like just another NES platformer. I will get a fan translation, tho I'm a bit skeptical. 91, my expectations have gotten real high with Link to the Past coming up and having just finished Legend of the Mystical Ninja.

Hm. I do miss how straightforward the NES era was. It just starts right off the bat with tips on how to use the different characters' special features and bam, we're starting.

The attempt at depth is quite jarring and the NES look really ain't doing it for me anymore. Neither is the music. But I am liking the gameplay so far. It's forgiving on what constitutes damage for you while you're attacking. And everything has been very intuitive so far, even switching characters and how to use a special move etc.

Welp I'm done with the first level, and the music and Look are still very blah. And the different characters are neat but really feels more like just having to pick which one to use at a very obvious part. Hopefully that's just as they are teaching me the mechanics and it gets more interesting. I'll give it a bit longer, but seeming it's one that's best if I had nostalgia for the anime or game etc.

Yea nah the first boss was lame, the movement is slow, and the next level aint doing it for me either. I do like the controls for the most part (not the swimming tho) but it just doesn't cut it for 91 and for me. Moving on!
