Preliminary: I was really skeptical of thi at first, since I figured it'd be low-effort minigame collection type vibes. But I see the concept is something I always love (like Osmosis Jones, the idea of bacteria and organs etc being anthropomorphic and conscious), and my short playtest proved more alluring than expected, I like that when I failed/died I simply went to the Bladder, and if you fail there, you're back in the lungs etc. Rather than just brutal perma-death situations. That being said, I'm sure this will Speccy hard, and I see there's a set ending to the game, so lord knows I'm probly about to push through even if the later screens or low-effort.
As I started to officially play it, I enjoyed the wild title screen music. Industrial vibes ha. And I was thankful for mobygames going in-depth about what the heck you're doing in each screen, tho once I read what was happening, it was always a cute clever and potentially solvable-on-my-own solution.
However, whether using Kempston joystick or keyboard, the collision masks, and gameplay in general did wind up being more low-effort than expected. When I saw the concept of the game, and that you cycle through screens instead of simply dying, I was excited that it all would be high-quality ideas. The lungs gameplay wound up simply feeling annoying, let alone the kidney stage. I wanted to see the later platformer elements but meh, not worth the headache to get there.
