The dastardly Red Baron has stolen important food supplies from the allies during the war. Hamburgers, ice cream cones, popcorn and other tasty treats have been taken by this evil aviator and sharpshooter. Your task is to help Snoopy shoot down the Red Baron and recover the stolen supplies. You begin your mission with four doghouses. It takes eight direct hits to bring down the Red Baron, and for the Red baron to bring down Snoopy's doghouse. If the Red Baron downs a doghouse, all accumulated treats will be lost. Press the controller button to fire Snoopy's machine gun.

Forgettable, But I'm A Sucker For Games Based on Other Media
This review is for the Atari 2600 version

Look: 8/10 Great background, functional sprites, and surprisingly good Snoopy graphic. Impressive for its time. It was hell trying to get this screenshot ha enter image description here

Sound: 7/10 While I like the plane/motor sounds, the music is mediocre. Overall, decent sounds for the era tho.

Play: 6/10 The collision masks are sloppy and the overall gameplay is disappointing. I had some fun shooting down the Red Baron, as clunky and silly as the collision masks of both the Red Baron and Snoopy were, but collecting the treats didn't mix as well as it should have. I was able to get the Red Barons down a couple times, but it got old pretty quickly. The manual is essentially unnecessary with this one, tho I doublechecked it to ensure I wasn't missing something.

Feel: 7/10 I immediately was reminded of a minigame in a Humongous Entertainment game, not sure which one. Very similar gameplay to this. Super cool concept and good look, but the gameplay is too mediocre to love the game. I swear I had played this before... But not really good enough to push through and get to know the game better or try to remember how I had seen this before. …

Attachment: 6/10 I wont forget it, but it also wasn't all that remarkable or, frankly, good.
